Avenue One

This residential development spans an entire city block just west of Olympic Village, at the prominent intersection of 2nd Avenue and Columbia Street, and comprises 247 market residential units. Departing from the linear form outlined in the masterplan, the proposed curving design embraces the adjacent open space, enhancing waterfront views for residents. A large opening punctuates the arched façade, creating pedestrian and visual connections to the waterfront via Cook Street. The building’s elevation treatment responds to its orientation: the southwest façade features localized balcony protrusions and punched windows to minimize sun exposure, while the fully glazed northern façade offers unobstructed views of False Creek.
