CF Richmond Centre

CF Richmond Centre is a complete transformation of an existing shopping mall into a master planned community of 13 towers, new commercial high streets, mobility hubs, and a public plaza all next door to a Sky Train station. The project was carefully designed to be constructed in two separate phases. Phase 1 includes seven towers, the public plaza, and four new public streets. The site orientation, new streets, and commercial significance of the site required a new approach to the City of Richmond's City Centre Design Guidelines. The development stands in stark contract to the typical high-density Richmond form of development, with varying tower and street wall heights throughout the site to create an animated backdrop to the new commercial frontages. The elongated, slender tower forms fan around the site to enhance separation, daylight, and allow an uninterrupted commercial high street to tie the new development into the existing shopping mall.
