ECDH

The Brighouse Village Early Childhood Development Hub (ECDH) is a cornerstone of the vibrant Paramount development, designed by GBL Architects. Conveniently located near the Richmond Brighouse SkyTrain station; this state-of-the-art facility offers more than just childcare; it’s a place where families and community come together to grow, learn, and connect.

ECDH is designed to meet the evolving needs of Richmond families. The Childcare Centre has capacity for 87 children (ages 0–12), and the Early Child and Family Development Program has capacity for 100 clients. Each program has 15 staff members. Nestled on the third floor of an office building fronting No. 3 Road, the hub boasts dedicated outdoor spaces and a versatile interior that transforms into a community venue for meetings, events, and programs on evenings and weekends.

The thoughtfully designed interiors feature a clean, neutral palette with white spaces and light coloured wood, brought to life with pops of vibrant colour in the furnishings, which creates an inviting, child-friendly environment. From concept development to millwork design, lighting, and fixture specifications, our interior design team worked closely with the architectural team and client to deliver a space tailored to socialization, nurturing care, and playful learning.

Proudly certified LEED Gold for Commercial Interiors, this City of Richmond municipal facility reflects sustainability and excellence in every detail, making ECDH not just a functional space but a vital part of the community.
