Nuvo’s 44 storey gateway tower is situated at the corner of Wilson and Central Boulevard, providing maximum privacy to neigbouring towers and raised above the skytrain guideway. Vertical recesses in the tower massing help accentuate a strong vertical reading and create an elegant tower expression. Varying balcony depth on West side create a wave-like expression that is designed to reflect the project's location next to Central Park. The rich texture of the wave is contrasted by the sleek glazed expression of the adjacent building faces. The brick podium with Juliette balconies on the rental building creates a scale and architectural expression that is complementary to the triple height tower entry. Creating a pocket park with seating, public art and landscaping elements provides an inviting extension to the public realm along Central Boulevard and allow cross-vistas through the site between the tower and the rental building.
