Doug Wood

Douglas joined GBL Architects in 2017, bringing extensive experience as an Architectural Technologist. His diverse project portfolio includes schools, recreation buildings, protective services, libraries, churches, commercial and industrial buildings, and both single and multi-family developments.

In his role, Douglas is responsible for producing and coordinating design development and working drawings. He remains actively involved in his projects from construction through to final occupancy.

Additionally, Douglas serves as the BIM Manager at GBL Architects, overseeing the BIM team and ensuring the effective use of technology within the office. He coordinates BIM processes for teams of varying sizes and across multiple software platforms, using his expertise to enhance the efficiency and reliability of model data.

Douglas earned his Bachelor of Science in Architectural Technology with honors from Napier University in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2007. He also attained his LEED AP accreditation in 2009.
