Nick Sharp
Senior Associate
Nick joined the company first in 2008 before returning to the UK to complete his education. Nick received his Master of Architecture degree from the University of Edinburgh, following the completion of a Master of Arts (Hons) in Architectural Design, also at the University of Edinburgh. He is currently an Intern Architect AIBC.
He rejoined GBL in 2012 and has been instrumental in creating a multitude of built works, first as a Project Manager and now as a Senior Associate. Nick’s portfolio spans across multiple construction typologies from four-storey wood frame residential and commercial mixed-use to high-rise concrete construction and all scales in between. He has worked on market strata and rental projects in addition to office renovation and childcare design.
Nick specializes in taking projects from design conception through to completion, ensuring that pragmatism, constructability and attention to detail prevail through every phase of the design process. He strives to elevate design excellence at all scales whilst acknowledging and operating under tight constraints.
His most recently completed projects include Alden, a six storey rental building in South Surrey for Porte Homes and Lina, a six storey mixed use residential with childcare on Cambie Street, Vancouver for Everbright Development. Under construction is Exeter Hall at UBC for Polygon Homes.
