Rod Forbes

Born and raised in British Columbia, Rod has been with GBL Architects since 2000. During his tenure he has been involved in a variety of project typologies and scale, specializing in construction management. 

In his role of Construction Manager, Rod is an essential part of the team both on and off site.  On site he attends site meetings, and conducts compliance, firestop, deficiency, and code compliance reviews. Off-site he works to issue fully coordinated site instructions back to the contractors, by preparing complete architectural working drawing packages, coordinating drawings with consultants in preparation for building permit construction.  He also works as an integral link between the consultants and the contractor, responding to RFI’s to generate coordinated responses from consultants, to review shop drawings and ensure they are stamped and returned to the contractor.  

Rod received a diploma in Architecture Design at the British Columbia Institute of Technology.  Prior to BCIT Rod attended North Island College for Computer Aided Drafting and Design to enhance his computer skills.
