Thomas Lee

Associate Principal

Thomas' role in the firm has evolved from being a design architect to managing multiple projects of varying scales. Thomas believes collaboration, communication, and tenacity to do what is right are the tenets of good design. He understands the challenging nature of design, building, and development as he had previously operated a small boutique architecture practice and was a development manager for a large residential development company in the Lower Mainland.

Thomas graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc (Mechanical Engineering). He spent five years focusing on sustainability for California and Washington State projects. He is currently a non-practising professional engineer in British Columbia. Upon graduation from the UBC's School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (SALA), Thomas received the Outstanding Thesis Book Prize and the American Institute of Architecture Gold Medal. As a Certified Professional, Thomas provides in-house building code support. Thomas has stayed involved with SALA by acting as a design committee member and juror for various studios and thesis presentations. He currently mentors several interns working towards their professional designation.
